PROJECT: Video Sentinel

DESCRIPTION:

With each video download, Video Sentinel automatically embeds multiple unique customer ID tags into the delivered video, creating a robust digital fingerprint. This fingerprint acts as an infallible identifier, enabling you to track and trace any unauthorized copies back to their original recipients with unparalleled accuracy. Through seamless integration, Video Sentinel dynamically incorporates the digital fingerprint into each copy of the video, ensuring that every version is truly one of a kind.

DO NOT:

• Use on server protected behind a CDN or WAF
• Use on a server that only has one hard drive

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Linux OS
• 32GB RAM
• Apache
• PHP 5.6, 7.2, 7.3.x OR 7.4
• GD / imagepng Extension for PHP / Should be standard install but please verify.
• IonCube Loader 11.0 or greater
• FFMpeg, tested with version 4.4.1. MUST be in the server PATH and available to the website
• FFProbe (part of FFMpeg), Minimum Version 1.2. MUST be in the server PATH and available to the website

PRE-SETUP:

1. Create a new folder named 'dlmgr' inside your Members Area. Example: https://yoursite.com/members/dlmgr. IMPORTANT: Set the Group, Owner, and Permissions Recursively to 777. This folder will contain Video Sentinel code, files, and default required folders.
2. Upload files vs_info.php and vs_setup.php into the new folder.
3. vs_info.php performs 8 tests from within the folder it is placed on the web server. It is designed to ensure your server is configured properly before attempting software setup. Execute: https://yoursite.com/members/dlmgr/vs_info.php on your web browser. When you receive a "Proceed" on each step, you receive a link to the Setup page.

#NOTE: Reported RAM may display odd numbers. As long as you know the server has a minimum of 32GB RAM and all other requirements are met, you should be good to advance.

SETUP:

1. Upon a successful PRE-SETUP, you should see a link to begin Setup on the last line. If you don't and the reason listed by vs_info.php is irrelevant, you may proceed cautiously.
2. vs_setup.php will download and perform the Video Sentinel setup. Execute: https://yoursite.com/members/dlmgr/vs_setup.php in your web browser. When complete, you will be offered links to demo the software.

VARIABLES THAT CAN BE MODIFIED:

• $TempFolder | can be renamed but must stay within your Member Area
• $testuser | can be assigned a Test User Name
• $test_users_array | can be modified with a listing of usernames with permission to use the Testbed at the bottom
• $user_watermarks | can be renamed but please make sure to retain all permissions.
• $tsvideo_path | may be changed to point to a different folder. Remember this folder must retain 777 permissions
• $input_video_file_path | may be changed to point to a different SOURCE folder. This is the MP4 video file that will be distributed to the user. Remember this folder must retain 777 permissions
• $owner MUST be changed to the Linux OWNER of the folders owned by the website.
